Homemade Crockpot Beef Stew

I like to make this with the vegetables I have on hand at home. You can create a variety for your stew with the vegetables you like. This is just an example of what I would do and some tricks to making your own gravy for it and not using the creamed soups.

Stew Meat cut into smaller pieces




Bell Peppers


Any other veggies that you might like

2 or 3 fresh pressed garlic

Mix all into a huge bowl. Add in your favorite spices. I like to use salt, pepper (freshly cracked) and spike (found at Central Market in the bulk section). Add also about 3-4 heaping tablespoons of corn starch. Make sure it is all mixed really good and the corn starch coats all the meat and vegetables.

Put in the crockpot and add 1 1/2 – 2 cups water. Put on low and cook 6-8 hours. Be sure to occasionally stir your occasionally to mix the juices from the meat with the water and to get the corn starch mixed in to make the gravy.
